This car, WP0ZZZ99Z4S691047
Referenced by some sources as being the very first 996 GT3RS delivered, 691047 was completed by Porsche on the 4th November 2003 in C15 RHD format, and as such one of very few examples destined for Hong Kong. By the 26th November 2003, 691047 was registered in New Zealand with the number GCK 934 and delivered to first owner Scott Worthington of Auckland on the 6th December 2003.
Finished in Carrera White with Guards Red GT3RS detailing, 691047 has a Black Leatherette interior and was further specified with green graduated tint windshield, air conditioning, Porsche CDR 23 Radio/CD player, headlight cleaning package and Pirelli tyres, as shown on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity accompanying the car. The original paper delivery stickers found on the inside of the front bonnet show that further options were added, as detailed in full above.
691047 moved to Wellington with Jean Louis Ronsen and it is understood to have seen track action in New Zealand, for a time wearing the personalised registration CFS 889. Maintained by the Porsche New Zealand agent, Continental Cars, 691047 has many invoices for work completed by them from 2010 - 2015 in the history file, including some degree of bodyshop repair in 2011. It should be noted that upon inspection by an OPC centre in 2024, it is not obvious exactly where the damage occurred nor what was replaced other than paint around the underside of the front of the car looking cleaner than further back. Details like the original carbon/kevlar bonnet appear unrepaired and bears the original paper stickers, so it suggests that any damage could not have been too extensive.
By 2013, ownership had passed to Mr. K. Anderson of Kelston, NZ and in 2016, 691047 came to the UK and was road registered. In 2017, 691047 was bought by a Ms. Davies of Wales and was the subject of £30,000 of works at Porsche Cardiff including renewal of factory bumpers, new carpets, suspension bushings and a major service.
Having been bought by the current owner in 2023, 691047 has seen all but no use and has just received a major service at Porsche Bristol completed in December 2024. Further works included a full inspection, replacement of exhaust mounts, replacement of both front shock absorbers and an engine overrun check, which came back as all clear, at a total cost of £6700.
Freshly serviced with no expense spared, 691047 presents very cleanly and is a well spec’d very early example of Porsche’s first GT3RS model. Renowned for their sharp handling and thrilling performance, the first generation GT3RS is an exciting homologation special that paved the way for Porsche’s 996 generation motorsport successes and a fantastic analogue drivers’ car.
